Display
The Galaxy S25 takes over the superb 6.2-inch AMOLED display from its predecessor, replete with a 1080p resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. The Galaxy S25 retains the typical Samsung design language with rounded corners flat sides and three cameras positioned vertically on the rear. Most importantly, the S25 stays compact, even somewhat smaller than the S24 from last year. It is 146.9 x 70.5 mm smaller in height and width, and it is also 7.25 mm thinner. The weight has also decreased slightly, from 168 to 162 grammes. These are minor adjustments, but they add up, and people who prefer tiny phones will welcome them.
Storage
The Samsung Galaxy S25 provides extensive storage capacities which modern users need. The device offers storage options that reach 512GB to accommodate high-resolution photos and 4K videos and applications and large games. The device uses fast UFS technology to provide rapid data access which enables users to multitask without interruptions and transfer files efficiently while creating an overall flagship experience.
Camera
At first sight, the Galaxy S25’s camera specifications may appear underwhelming—it retains the same 50MP main, 3X telephoto, and ultra-wide lenses as its predecessor. However, don’t be fooled: there are no changes at all. The S25 produces unique-looking photographs and movies thanks to new ISP and AI advancements. If you enjoy using Expert RAW, you’ll be pleased to know that the Galaxy S25 now includes depth-of-field adjustment with a “Virtual Aperture” option, providing you even more creative power.
Processor & Benchmarks
We notice a roughly 50% improvement over the Galaxy S24 model, and the new S25 is even ahead of the Pixel 9 Pro. In terms of multi-core CPU performance, the Galaxy S25 outperforms the iPhone 16 Pro, as well as older generations and the Tensor G4-based Pixel rival.
In 3D Mark, the Galaxy begins with a high score of about 6,000 points, but after a few minutes, it decreases quickly to 2,500 points, less than half of its starting score. This is a significantly sharper fall than we often see, indicating that Samsung had to be really aggressive in order to keep the temperature of this ferocious new Snapdragon CPU under control.
Battery
While everything so far has been promising, we are disappointed to see no significant changes to the battery size on the Galaxy S25. The battery capacity remains unchanged at 4,000mAh, and Samsung is sticking with 25W charging speeds, despite the fact that the upcoming Galaxy A36 (at half the price) will support 45W charging.
